2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC: Electric Luxury, Reimagined.
September 30 2026,
The all-new 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC is bringing the familiar versatility of the GLC into a new electric era. Unveiled at IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Munich, this next-generation SUV blends impressive electric performance with AI-driven technology, expansive space and a distinctly luxurious cabin. From its advanced powertrain to its intelligent digital systems, the new GLC is designed to make every journey feel more connected.
Electric Power That Moves Things Forward
The 2027 GLC uses a permanently excited synchronous motor paired with a 94 kWh lithium-ion battery and an advanced two-speed transmission. The setup produces up to 483 horsepower, while DC fast charging can reach up to 330 kW.
Preliminary estimates put driving range at over 640 km based on the European cycle standard. When you need a quick boost, the GLC can recharge up to 300 km of range in just 10 minutes. With a top speed of 200 km/h, electronically limited, and available 4.5-degree rear-axle steering, the electric GLC brings both confident performance and agile handling to the road.
A Smarter SUV Starts With MB.OS

The biggest changes are not only under the floor. The new Mercedes-Benz Operating System, MB.OS, uses AI-driven technology and remarkably powerful chips capable of 254 trillion operations per second. It is designed to learn driver preferences, communicate naturally with passengers and make real-time decisions that can enhance safety. This technology gives the GLC a more personal relationship with its driver, helping digital features feel less like separate systems and more like a natural part of the vehicle.
A Cabin Where Technology Meets Luxury

Step inside, and the GLC opens into an expansive cabin created with both driver and passengers in mind. One of its standout available features is the MBUX HYPERSCREEN, a continuous 39.1-inch display that becomes the centrepiece of the digital experience.
The available SKY CONTROL panoramic roof adds another visual touch. Its integrated 162 illuminated stars can adjust to your preferred colour, creating an atmosphere that feels especially distinctive after sunset. An available Vegan Package also brings independently certified interior materials, giving buyers another way to personalize the cabin.
More Room for Life, Up Front and Behind
Electric power also changes how the GLC uses its available space. The front trunk, or “frunk,” provides 127-litres of additional storage where an engine would traditionally sit. Behind the rear seats, there is up to 1738-litres of cargo space when the seats are folded. That combination makes the GLC easy to imagine as an everyday family SUV, whether you're carrying groceries through North Vancouver or packing for a longer road trip.
Intelligent Assistance for a More Connected Drive
The 2027 GLC will also offer an extensive range of intelligent driver-assistance technologies through the MB.DRIVE system. Available features include MB.DRIVE ASSIST, MB.DRIVE ASSIST PLUS, MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST and MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST 360.
Available DIGITAL LIGHT LED headlights, along with Burmester 3D and 4D Surround Sound with Dolby Atmos, further demonstrate how the GLC brings technology into both the practical and enjoyable sides of driving.
